What are soaps made of?
Each soap is made from scratch using the cold process method. Scentsational Soaps only
use the finest ingredients: they include olive oil, cocoa butter, shea butter, coconut oil and palm oil. We do not test our
poducts on animals.
What is the cold process method?
The cold process method is a way of making soap that does not require an external heat source
to initiate saponification.
What is Saponification?
The term saponification is the name given to the chemical
reaction that occurs when a vegetable oil or animal fat is mixed with a strong alkali. The products of the reaction are the
two: soap and glycerin.
Is handmade soap, safe enough for my skin?
Absolutely! Handmade soap has all natural ingredients without petrochemicals
or cheap additives. Handmade soap has naturally occuring glycerin that is known to be beneficial for the skin and will
not dry it out.
What are the benefits of Shea Butter?
Shea butter is a naturally ivory-colored natural fat extracted from the
fruit of the Shea Tree by crushing and boiling. It is widely used in cosmetics as a moisturizer and an emollient.
It's benefits are vast. Shea butter can provide imrovement in both skin and hair in the following areas: skin cracks,
eczema, sunburn, sun and wind protection, small skin wounds, stretch mark prevention while pregnant, and it restores luster
to hair while eliminating scalp irritationfrom dryness or chemical processing. Shea butter also nourishes the skin with Vitamins
A, E and F.
What are your methods of payment?
All orders are processed through paypal only. You
may also mail your check or money order, payable to Scentsational Soaps. Your order will ship as soon
as the check has cleared our bank.
